Four Thieves Vinegar

Make your own Four Thieves Vinegar- Legend has it that the four thieves, one of whom was an herbalist, robbed the homes of those that had died of the plague. This specific vinegar composition is said to have helped prevent catching the disease. The thieves survived and were eventually caught and brought to trial but it is known that other similar types of herbal vinegars have been used as medicine... since the time of Hippocrates and adding antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal herbs to your vinegar makes for really potent, inexpensive, and tasty herbal medicines useful for the common cold, flus and as a tonic for everyday immune health.

Raw apple cider vinegar, with ‘mother’ such as Braggs
2 tbls dried rosemary
2 tbls dried thyme
2 tbls dried sage
2 tbls dried lavender
2 tbls dried mint
To make: Put all the dried herbs (you can use fresh) into a sterilized mason jar and pour the vinegar over the herbs, stir and seal tightly. Cap with a plastic lid (metal lids will corrode). Leave it in a cool, dark, place for 3-4 weeks shaking every few days if possible. Then strain off the liquid and bottle. To Use: Take 1-4 droppersfull, 3-5 times daily or as a tonic

Bath Salts

  Let Me Relax

  • 4 oz (112 gm) Himalayan salts

  • 10 drops Elemi (Canarium luzonicum)

  • 2 drops Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanoides)

  • 2 drops Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha)

  • 6 drops Frankincense (Boswellia carterii)

Just put your salts in a wide-mouth 4 oz (120 ml) jar. Drop your essential oils into the salt as you stir gently. This recipe makes enough for four baths, with about 5 drops of essential oil per bath. (This dilution is very skin-friendly!)

A Recipe for You: Neroli & Lavender Argan Oil for Moisturizing Dry Skin

I love using argan oil on my skin. It moisturizes, protects, and nourishes to help heal any damage and even out skin tone. You can even use it on your face. This recipe also works as a soap-free face wash. (And you don’t need moisturizer after washing!)

• 1 oz (30 ml) argan oil (Argania spinosa)

• 3 drops Neroli (Citrus aurantium var. amara)

• 10 drops Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)

You can use a 1 oz (30 ml) PET plastic jar with a flip top for this blend. Combine all your ingredients in the jar, close it and shake gently, then apply your body oil. A little bit goes a long way!
